Celebrating the 16th Official Cold War Patriots National Day of Remembrance™
Professional Case Management, through our advocacy organization Cold War Patriots, continues leading efforts to recognize and honor nuclear weapons and uranium workers who selflessly served our nation. It is with great pride and respect that we commemorate their sacrifices.
Beginning in 2009, Cold War Patriots and Professional Case Management advocated for Congress to recognize October 30th as a National Day of Remembrance for nuclear weapons and uranium workers. Since then, we’ve hosted ceremonies honoring the sacrifices of our Fallen Heroes. This year, we hosted the 16th Official Cold War Patriots National Day of Remembrance in Oak Ridge, TN, Albuquerque, NM, and Richland, WA. Our Outreach and Clinical Teams collaborated with local officials to host events in:
- Oak Ridge, TN near Y-12, Oak Ridge National Lab (X-10/ORNL), and Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant (K-25) on Wednesday, October 30, 2024
- Albuquerque, NM near the Sandia National Laboratories on Tuesday, October 22, 2024
- Richland, WA near the Hanford Site on Friday, October 25, 2024
These special in-person gatherings featured local choirs singing, and local dignitaries offering messages recognizing the sacrifices of nuclear weapons and uranium workers. Candles were lit as names of our Fallen Heroes were read. We also hosted a virtual ceremony for those unable to attend in-person. We appreciate the workers, their families and friends who attended the 16th Official Cold War Patriots National Day of Remembrance™, both locally and virtually.
