Connie’s Commitment to Safety Carries into her PCM Care
My name is Connie, and I held many positions at the Y-12 National Security Complex, the Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant (K-25), and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (X-10) plants. The most memorable moments for me were when I worked in the K-25 Safety Department. Doing safety inspections, training, and safety promotions, I got to meet a lot of people. I loved the time that I worked with the union and Energy Systems President to promote seat belt safety (pictured left).
Working at K-25 produced a lot of health consequences, but my role in conducting safety inspections and providing training played a major part in increasing safety awareness among the workers involved in producing enriched uranium.
Through my health crisis, I met my local PCM team at an open forum at the Double Tree Hotel in Oak Ridge, and I signed up for benefits.
PCM has been a great company for me, and I would highly recommend anyone to use their services. I feel blessed to have nurse Joan assigned to me. Being a nurse is more than just a noun; it’s an action word.
Nurse Joan has helped me navigate through some traumatic storms in my life, and I am grateful that she, as well as PCM showed me that they truly care about my well-being.
I want you all to know that your labor is not in vain.
