Former Savannah River Site Workers Honored at Cold War Patriots Remembrance Event

Former and current nuclear weapons and uranium workers from the Savannah River Site in North Augusta, South Carolina were honored on October 25th as part of our nationwide celebrations of the 15th Official Cold War Patriots National Day of RemembranceTM. Amanda Fallon, current Ombuds for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program (EEOICP), joined the ceremony and spoke with this community to acknowledge the sacrifices they made in their work promoting U.S. defense.
